Celeste Heinonen, Chief Financial Officer. As Chief Financial Officer since May 2024, Celeste Heinonen is responsible for overseeing Ontario International Airport’s financial goals and objectives, creating financial plans and devising annual operating and capital budgets. Her focus is on enhancing regional quality of life and economic vitality by expanding ONT’s presence in Southern California through strategic financial leadership, innovation and a deep sense of accountability.

Celeste came to ONT with a robust foundation of analytical and financial competencies within aviation. She spent 17 years with the Massachusetts Port Authority, which operates Boston Logan International Airport, Worcester Regional Airport and Hanscom Field, a general aviation airport located in Bedford, Mass., as well as container and cruise terminals in Boston’s seaport complex. That included overseeing Massport’s operating budget, which had a portfolio of up to $1 billion in operating revenues and $600 million in expenses annually.

A native Bostonian, Celeste earned a master's degree in business administration from Suffolk University in Boston and bachelor’s degree in English and human development and organizational studies from Boston College.

Celeste loves exploring the outdoors with her husband, three children and their rescue dog. When she manages to get a minute to herself, you can find her cuddling with her two rescue cats or on a yoga mat.
