Marissa Sanchez

Marissa Sanchez, Chief Capital Development Officer. As Chief Capital Development Officer of Ontario International Airport since June 2024, Marissa Sanchez manages all planning, design and construction efforts with a focus on enhancing infrastructure and the passenger experience. Working with a team of staff, consultants and stakeholders, she oversees our Capital budget to ensure ONT is ready to grow and to continue serving a critical role in our national transportation system for decades to come.

Marissa came to ONT with a unique range of experience in both public and private industry across multiple sectors that impact airport development, including project management, facilities maintenance, grant and contract administration, capital planning and community relations. She spent 11 years at the city of Dallas, where her roles included serving as Assistant Director in the Infrastructure & Development Department of Aviation. In this position, she managed a $450 million Capital budget and helped develop world-class airside, terminal and landside projects within the Dallas Airport System Capital Improvement Plan. Marissa also served as the Assistant Director of Internal Services in the Department of Aviation, where she oversaw various other divisions of the department. She also played a pivotal role in the development and execution of the Dallas Executive Airport and the downtown Dallas Heliport, promoting sustainability and compliance with regulatory standards.

Marissa has a master's degree in business administration from Texas Woman’s University and a bachelor's degree in business studies from Dallas Baptist University. She also has multiple certifications related to emergency aviation planning, including incident command and safety management systems.

A mom to three daughters and three German Shepherds, Marissa and her husband love to travel and are excited to continue exploring their adopted home state of California.
